The sport of kitesurfing first graced St Lucia’s shores back in 2002 with the establishment of a professional kitesurfing centre at Anse de Sable Beach (“Sandy Beach”) in Vieux Fort – the island’s best kitesurfing beach. Since 2007, the annual Kitesurfing Fiesta has been held at this very location, hosted by the Southern Tourism Development Corporation (STDC) at The Reef Kite + Surf, the original home of kitesurfing in St Lucia.

St. Lucia is one of the best locations in the Eastern Caribbean for kitesurfing, and each year surpasses the standards set by previous Kitesurfing Fiesta events. Kitesurfers from all over the world arrive on island to soak up the sun, fun and thrills of the most exciting weekend beach party there is.If you’ve missed previous events, make sure you don’t miss the next one – the St Lucia Kitesurfing Fiesta is always a weekend to remember.

The event is aimed at making the most of the conditions and having the most fun possible. There is a pro event, where the best from the Caribbean and the world challenge each other in the arena (kiting area), but there are also expression sessions which means that the person having the most fun and inspiring the crowd the most is the one who will triumph. Add to this a great two days of entertainment, live bands, beach events etc, and you have a perfect event to join.

Registration for the event is a mere US$50.00. This covers a welcome pack, free drinks provided by the event sponsors, dinner at the prizegiving ceremony and lunch and during the two-day competition.
